Angel Guerra, a PhD candidate, WCCA, SIP is a speaker, and executive with over 20 years of experience in risk management, operational strategy, and program creation. She serves as Chief Relations Officer at STRYKE National Investigations, and recognized for building sustainable systems, driving market growth, and coaching professionals through organizations like the National Women's Business Center as well as Hispanic Alliance of Career Enhancement.

Angel has held roles such as National Risk manager, Director of Sales & Risk and currently VP of Marketing & Education. Throughout her career she has been passionate about emphasizing holistic business practices that align with ethics, strategy, processes and people. Her experience spans through building out a state-wide TPA claims program, developing a multi-national Risk program across US & Canada as well as helping companies develop their marketing efforts into new markets through research & operational changes.

Within the community, Angel has Coached and Mentored hundreds of individuals across the US in middle management roles in a variety of industries. Her mission is to bring actionable knowledge as well as resources to those who desire continued growth as they navigate their careers.

Joshua Shutts is a occupational therapist with Brooks Rehabilitation and a former workers' compensation patient whose personal recovery inspired his career. Passionate about helping injured workers, Joshua brings a unique perspective that combines lived experience with clinical expertise, encouraging others to see that while an injury may change your life, it does not define your future.

Joshua has spoken at the Elevate Conference, Comp Laude, and the Workers' Compensation Institute (WCI), sharing his inspiring journey and practical insights. He also serves as a Kids' Chance of Florida Ambassador, supports Give Kids The World Village, and helps organize the organization's annual charity golf tournament.

Dr. Kertay a strategically focused leader, industry consultant, healthcare executive, and clinical psychologist with extensive experience in applying behavioral science principles to a broad range of corporate and clinical settings. He currently serves in roles as Chief Medical Officer for Ascellus, Chief Psychologist for The Claim Lab, Behavioral Health Medical Director for Emperion, and Senior Consultant in Behavioral Health for Axiom Medical, in addition to other industry consulting. With over 50 years of clinical experience, his expertise includes health psychology, disability medicine, workers’ compensation, absence management, return-to-work, and medical-psychiatric comorbidity, with a particular passion for improving workplace mental health.

Yvonne Guibert is Vice President of Education Strategy at Institutes of Health (IOH), where she leads the design and development of educational programming for the workers’ compensation community. With more than 25 years in the industry, she is known for her ability to translate complex clinical, regulatory, and systemic topics into engaging, accessible learning experiences across webinars, conferences, and live events. Her work helps bridge world-class clinical expertise with the practical realities of claims, care, and recovery — advancing understanding of evidence-based, biopsychosocial approaches to injury, trauma, and chronicity. Over the past several years, Yvonne has focused deeply on refining how adults learn in this space, emphasizing clarity, relevance, and human-centered design in every program she builds.

Prior to IOH, Yvonne spent a decade at WorkCompCentral, where she led education initiatives, developed and facilitated the Comp Laude® Awards and Gala, and supported business development. She also co-hosts the award-winning podcast Deconstructing Comp with Rafael Gonzalez, Esq., exploring the human and systemic dimensions of workers’ compensation. Yvonne holds a B.A. in International Studies with a minor in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from the University of South Florida and divides her time between Tampa, Florida and Panama City, Panama. She also holds a Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology and is a certified Bounce Back Better (B³)® Resilience Trainer, reflecting her ongoing commitment to learning, collaboration, and creating experiences that help people think differently, connect more meaningfully, and do their work better.
